In a timely webcast, child and family expert Rocky Spino examines the dangerous world of technology and our teenagers via an exclusive audio interview with Cynthia Logan.
New Oxford, PA (June 1, 2009) – Licensed professional counselor and east coast child therapist Rocky Spino is set to release an exclusive online interview with Cynthia Logan entitled, "Teens, Technology, and Tragedy: The Jessica Logan Story." Spino chats with the Ohio mother as she offers a firsthand account of the hazards of teen “sexting” and the heartbreak of her daughter's suicide. The interview is approximately 26 minutes long and will be offered as streaming audio on his website's News & Events page (www.rockyspino.com).
Regarding the exclusive interview, Spino shares, “This interview is meant solely to help other parents and their teens. I wanted to offer a very personal insight into some of the social challenges today’s teens face, and I especially wanted to get the word out that HELP is available and effective as an alternative to self-harm.”
As a specialist in child and adolescent therapy, Rocky has built a highly reputable and successful practice in Central Pennsylvania. His extensive media experience and mental health work with children have combined to make him a uniquely qualified expert in his field. In addition to counseling hundreds of families over nearly 20 years of practice, he has served as clinical director of the Children’s Aid Society in New Oxford, Pennsylvania, supervised the work of clinical interns and therapists, presented widely on mental health issues in children, and taught graduate courses in counselor training programs. He continues to serve the needs of his full caseload of young clients and regularly reaches out to the public in his informative programs for parents, teens, and professionals.
